A Scholarly Pursuit Dragon's Dogma 2 Quest Walkthrough
Pursue the skyfallen dragon.
In Bakbattahl, once you reunite with your pawn, head directly to where the shining beam of red light in the middle of the town is pointing. Once you get to the beam of light outside the door of the palace, use your Godsway sword to activate it. This will summon a small dragon relic. Phaseus will eventually appear, wanting to examine it, but a wall of magic along with ethereal enemies will protect it. After defeating the monsters, follow Phaesus across the city and rocky spires looming over the city and protect him from enemies that will appear. He'll then go back down and go to the dye fields.
Boulders will start to fall from the sky as you move across the fields, so you'll need to dodge everytime an indicator appears on the ground. Phaseus will then reach the Forbidden Magick Research Lab and then into the palace. Exit the front door and you'll find the Dragon Relic. Keep protecting Phaseus from the spawning enemies and once you reach the last area or hallway, a big number of enemies will appear like Goblins and Harpies. When you defeat the enemies or reach the dragon statue, destroy the statue and end the nightmare happening in the city of Bakbattahl. A short conversation with Phaseus will occur and this will mark the end of this quest.

Right after receiving the rewards for the quest, some red tentacles from outta nowhere snatch away all of my Pawns. Reloaded the last save and they were there unharmed. Is it something related specifically to this quest (like breaking the relic by throwing it instead of hitting with a weapon) or is it an occurrence in the unmoored world?

Is it normal that this quest is still active? I've already done the quest and received my reward but it's still on my quest menu.
I think this is because I wasn't able to do parts of it the intended way. The 2nd alley after the arch going to your house you can climb up on a tarp and through the roadblock. It skips the part where you go through monsters going into the graveyard.

Right after this mission, go to Phaesus room in the secret laboratory through the palace entrance to start his escort quest.

One warning with Trickster: when you’re in the palace, since it’s a non-combat zone for pawns, they’ll be pacified AI-wise. Just follow what Phaesus has been saying the whole time - ignore everything. The last gauntlet has too many enemies to tank. If you can Dragon’s Delusion the enemies to run away or just book it straight for the statuette.

Was looking at the statue after clearing all the enemies around it when a harpy appeared out of nowhere and dived at me from nearly point blank range in my camera view, I parried the harpy on reflex and the area of effect retaliation destroyed the statue. Kind of disappointed to learn that this wasn't some emergent gameplay and that the only possible resolution to the quest is the statue being destroyed anyway, but it was fun to imagine myself telling Phaesus that I didn't mean to destroy it, it was an accident, really!

Has anyone tried using the "Sealing Phial"? Guessing it wouldn't work since it was designed to work with people.

Would love to know how to bring it back. Each time i try my character stumbles and drops it.

I can't tell if bringing the urn back to the lab is even an option or not, because it breaks every single time I move it a few inches away in any direction.

Apparently there is a second outcome where you bring the statue in Phaseus's lab, can someone confirm, what about the outcome?
Phaesus AI is STUPID asf and will walk in the Bolide meteors willingly. And this WILL almost always cause him to die. I recommend carrying him through the field to prevent him from dying.
