Main Quests are Quests in Dragon's Dogma 2 that progress the story of the game, Dragon's Dogma 2 features 20 Main Quests that focus on the plot. Like other Quests, completing them may grant various rewards that can aid the player throughout their journey including gold, Items, and Equipment. Unlike Side Quests, however, a Main Quest starts right after finishing the previous Main Quest, so the option to progress the story will always be there for the player, while he can also choose to pause and explore, do Side Quests, or focus on progressing their characters and Pawns. After completing certain Main Quests, several changes in the world would trigger including an increase in merchant stock and the availability of various Side Quests. What are Main Quests in Dragon's Dogma 2

Main Quests are Quests that are integral to the story of Dragon's Dogma 2. Players are required to finish them in order to progress the game. While doing Main Quests, players can encounter or initiate other Quests called Side Quests, which in contrast are not required to progress the story. Main Quests will not be disrupted and can be returned to whenever the player wishes.

Keep in mind, however, that some aspects of the game, including some areas, might not be accessible to you depending on your progress with the game's Main Quests. Depending on the events of the story, some NPCs and even previously accessible areas might also not be accessible, which affects other things in your gameplay, like Side Quests, or being able to access particular Merchants.

How to get Main Quests in Dragon's Dogma 2

As previously mentioned, Main Quests have the distinct trait of initiating automatically when the previous Main Quest has been completed. This means that players will always have a Main Quest in their list of Quests, from the very start of the game and so on.

Like all Quests, Main Quests will have a sequence of objectives to achieve to guide players to their completion. Players will be notified with the next objective on the upper left area of the screen if the Main Quest is set as their Priority Quest. Players can do this on the Quest tab of the Main Menu. Upon completing a Main Quest, the next one will be flashed on the same area as long as the Main Quest is set as the Priority Quest, as marked by the sword icon.

What are the Rewards for Main Quests in DD2?

Main Quests rewards will vary, but will always grant a specific number of XP points to the player. Aside from these, players may expect to receive other rewards in the form of Items and Equipment, depending on the Main Quest that they complete.

Main Quests may also entail exploring or clearing certain specific areas and dungeons that may contain rare Items. Aside from XP points, it's often the case that the reward for completing Main Quests is simply being able to progress the story forward and view story cutscenes.

How Does the Day and Night Cycle Work in DD2

The dynamism of the game results in the perpetual passage of time, regardless of what the player is doing. This results in events happening, like Enemy encounters, NPC movements, and environmental changes in real-time. This becomes increasingly important as the day turns to night, as the world of the game becomes exponentially more dangerous during nighttime. To avoid the dangers of traveling at night, or to be able to easily access certain aspects of the game that are available during the day, players can decide to set up camp first at a Campsite. Some NPCs might only be available at certain times, which can also mean that some Quests or some objectives for Quests might only be available at certain times. This includes Main Quests so players have to be vaguely wary of the in-game passage of time.

Pawns, depending on their personality traits, might offer you information on certain aspects of your Main Quests if you ever get stuck, possibly even because of the Day and Night Cycle.

Points of No Return in Dragon's Dogma 2

The main Point of no return quest in Dragons Dogma 2 is the quest Legacy when you choose the true ending where you get to the Unmoored world. When you do the true ending, your Inn saves will be lost and you're now prohibited from going back and completing the other quests that you have not completed before. Once you enter the Unmoored World, this will lock your save to this timeline and you cannot go back to the base game.

There are some Main Quests that will lock you out of content like Feast of DeceptionA New Godsway, and The Guardian Gigantus. But these Quests only take away a few side quests.

What are Pawns in Dragon's Dogma 2

Pawns make a return in Dragon's Dogma 2, with what seems like the same capabilities and functions as the previous game. Pawns are loyal beings from another realm lacking emotions and independence who exist solely to serve the Arisen. Each Pawn is different in the knowledge they've collected. As you explore, the Pawns that accompany you can help point you to Quests or guide you through Quest objectives if they have knowledge of them.

Aside from that, Pawns now have specializations that give them a unique feature. For example, one of these new specializations is the ability to translate Elvish. If there is a Pawn that understands Elvish is nearby, it will automatically interpret the language for you to understand. This may turn out incredibly useful for your Main Quests, so make sure that your Pawns have a good variety of specializations.

I'm almost certain that the side quest Masked Correspondence is locked out if you don't do it before the main quest Feast of Deception. I'm still at A New Godsway, try to talk to Sven at day/night and he didnt give me Masked Correspondence.

Is the quest to repair the Regalia required to complete the game? Asking because my Regalia disappeared from inventory and no way to complete it. Buggy.
