Armor in Dragon's Dogma 2 are Equipment that provide defensive properties and protects the Arisen and their Pawns from enemy attacks. Armor can be obtained in various ways, including as Enemy drops, in chests around the world, as a reward for finishing a Quest, from merchant NPCs, through crafting, etc. Many, but not all, Armor pieces and sets in the previous game were locked behind specific Vocations. There were a variety of different types of pieces of Armor that characters could wear, each specializing in a certain kind of protection for the character, or in certain Stats more than others. This page will be updated with all the Armor pieces available in Dragon's Dogma 2 once the game has been officially released.

What are Armor Pieces in Dragon's Dogma 2

In the previous game, there was a large variety of different Armor pieces for characters to wear. Apart from Outfits that are entire Armor sets, excluding the Cloak, each piece of Armor would be in charge of conferring protection for a specific part of the character's body. Head Armor would be the headpiece, Torso Armor would be in charge of protecting the upper body, Arm Armor was worn on the arms and can also confer additional offensive Stats, Leg Armor gave protection to the legs and feet, and Cloaks were worn on top of everything else for additional defensive bonuses.

In the previous game, many, but not all, Armor pieces were locked behind certain vocations. While you would have to check these restrictions individually for each armor set, there is a general rule of thumb you can follow:

Of the Vocations currently confirmed for Dragon's Dogma 2, the Fighter and Mystic Spearhand seem to fall under the 'red' category, the Archer and the Magick Archer seem to fall under the 'yellow' category, the Mage along with both Mystic Spearhand and Magick Archer are under the 'blue' category, and the Thief seems to be in a new 'green' category. It is yet unclear if this system will make a return in this sequel game.

Armor Stats in Dragon's Dogma 2

In the previous game, each piece of Armor had a set of Stats that would help players choose which to wield for their characters. These Armor Stats determined the Armor's capabilities in terms of the damage they can mitigate, along with what type of damage they can protect against, and even any debilities they can help the character guard against. The previous game had the following Armor Stats:

  • Defense
  • Magick Defense
  • Piercing Resist
  • Striking Resist
  • Stagger Resist
  • Knockdown Resist
  • Elemental Resist
  • Debilitation Resist
  • Special
  • Weight

It is yet unclear if this sequel game will have similar Armor Stats. This page will be updated as more information is released.
