Dragon's Dogma 2 Brothers Brave and Timid Quest Walkthrough
Find Norbert
As you approach Tristan's Inn in Melve, a man turns his back to you and assumes that you are Norbert. This man is named Ian and he is looking for his brother. He asks you if you would be willing to follow as he leads the way to where he was last seen. The last he has heard from Norbert is that he went to a dangerous place to gather herbs. Ian is worried about his brother and turns to you for help as he is hesitant to go alone.
Your objective here is to protect Ian while looking for Norbert. It is best to stay behind him so you can always see him. As you follow him to the gates, you will be stopped by the guard named Gregor whom you spoke with earlier. He will ask if you're ready to go to the capital with him, and since you are doing a quest for Ian, make sure to decline so you can focus on the quest at hand. Follow Ian past the bridge and stay on the dirt path. Once the path reaches a fork, Ian will make a right that goes up the hill.
After a while, the dirt path turns into gravel. You will pass by a short tunnel that leads further up the hill. Soon, you will reach a campfire in a foresty area. The fire is still lit and Ian will ask you to rest here for a moment. Ian mentions that he and his brother have used this spot in the past and it's likely that he used it before he continued to his destination (explains the lit fire). There's a Modest Camping Kit that you can pick up near the rocky ledge. You may continue the quest once again by talking to Ian.
He goes up ahead and leads the way forward. Soon after, you will see a Goblin attacking someone. Run forward and eliminate them. When you're done fighting them, Ian will continue walking the path ahead so stay on his trail. You will soon reach a Destructible Bridge here, this is a destroyable object that will let you manipulate the environment. This can be useful in combat to trap enemies in the middle and then cut off one end to send them downwards. On your way up, you will see something that looks like a camp area. Approach the felled trunk and pick up the Golden Trove Beetle. You're near the objective by the time you get here, muster up the courage and stay on Ian's trail.
As you reach the marked location, you will hear Norbert's plea for help as a pack of wolves surround him. Run to his aid and help him eliminate these dangerous beasts. There are about 5 wolves in this area and they always hunt in packs. After clearing the monsters, a short cutscene will show the brothers' reunion. Your objective will now be changed to Escort the brothers back to Melve.
Escort the brothers back to Melve
Lead the way back to Melve to escort Ian and Norbert safely. Trace your steps back the same way that you got here. Head down the cliff following the dirt path until you get to the destroyable bridge. You will notice that there are enemies on the other side. You can either fight them or explore the other route.
Make a right here and head down the cliff further. There's a point where the path will converge with the original route and you can slide down the cliff safely. This will take you back to where you first took a rest, near the campfire set up by Ian and Norbert. Follow the dirt path and you will surely reach Melve in no time. As soon as you cross the river, the cutscene with Ian will begin playing.
This will mark the quest Brothers Brave and Timid as completed, and you will get your rewards after the short conversation.
