Character Creation for Dragon's Dogma's 2 features a brand new and all-unique character creation system similar to its former game Dragons Dogma. While still carrying over similar features such as its height and weight mechanics that affect the players' characters' overall abilities and statistics. When creating a character, players can create their characters to their desired look down from the details of their noses to their muscle strength, along with a new race to choose from besides Humans. Players can now choose a Beastren as their desired race and adjust their looks in the menu in detail as well.

Who is the Arisen in Dragon's Dogma 2

Arisen in Dragon's Dogma 2 is a title given to the player character. The title is conferred upon as chosen by the Dragon, for one's notable courage and strength of will, usually through seeing if they are able to stand up against one during an outright attack. The Dragon takes and devours the chosen's heart, causing them to live once more with renewed vitality and unimaginable power. With these gifts, the Arisen seeks to unravel the mysteries surrounding their title, the politics of the world around him, the Dragon, and their own fate.

But the path of the Arisen is not a solitary journey, for they are granted access to the Rift, the thread connecting worlds. There, they can summon mystical beings from parallel realities, the loyal and hardworking Pawns—masters of archery, wielders of potent spells, and skilled in the arts of swordplay and melee. The Pawns become the Arisen's companions and confidants as they go forth on their journey together in pursuit of the beckoning dragon.

Character Creator Information in Dragon's Dogma 2

Dragon's Dogma is known for its intricate system that offers detailed customization of characters built upon the foundations set by the original game. The process is split into two parts: the creation of your Arisen and the creation of your Main Pawn. The demo for character creation gives us a preview of the Character Creation experience from Dragon's Dogma 2 which is coming out on March 22, 2024.

2 character creation demo guide dragons dogma 2 wiki guide18 character creation demo guide dragons dogma 2 wiki guide19 character creation demo guide dragons dogma 2 wiki guide

Just like in the original game, you begin by choosing the option to start with a Preset or a Custom character. The preset shows a lineup of different body types and an option between a Feminine/Masculine and Human or Beastren. The Beastren is a new race that has been added that features animal-like characteristics while retaining the physique of a human. From there, you can customize their appearance using a wide range of options, including face shape, skin tone, hairstyle, and more.

The Main Pawn creation process follows a similar path. However, in Dragon's Dogma 2, your Main Pawn's personality can now be influenced by their appearance. This means that the choices you make during Character Creation can affect their behavior in the game.

Pawn Inclination

Inclination is a new feature that can affect how your Main Pawn interacts with the world, the Arisen, and other characters in the game. There are 4 Inclinations that dictate their traits:

  • Calm: Rational, shrewd, and strategizing. A pawn characterized by caution. Favors defense and evasion, employing clever tactics to survive at all costs.
  • Simple: Curious, earnest, and adventurous. A pawn with their heart on their sleeve. Enjoys exploring and gathering items, and is always up for a challenge.
  • Straightfoward: Candid, flippant, and impulsive. A pawn unbound by precepts. Enjoys the thrill of combat, tackling fierce foes head-on with daring assaults.
  • Dynamic Aging

New Race: Beastren

Dragon's Dogma 2 players are introduced to the new and exciting race of Beastren. Dragon's Dogma 2 Character Appearance

One of the main aspects of creating your Arisen is customizing their looks. Aside from the new Beastren race, players will get even more minute customization options and sliders than they did in the first game. In the early part of the game, you'll get to Character Creation. You'll first choose from a set of preset appearances to start with. Don't worry though, as you'll be able to completely change every detail if you want to. However, this will allow you to have an easier time getting to the appearance you want.

The first thing you'll be able to edit is your race, along with your gender. Again, this game does have the new Beastren race available to play as, so you can consider it when you make your character. From there, choose Detailed Customization to change specific details of your appearance.
