Stat Levels or Stat Leveling in Dragon's Dogma 2 covers how a character's Stats grow whenever they increase in levels. Stats in the game affect almost everything you do in the game, from exploration to combat. Whenever you level up, you are granted additional Stats to make you stronger overall. The Stats that are granted to you are different depending on which Vocation you are running when the level-up happens. This is due to a multiplier that affects each Stat and that is different for each Vocation there is in the game. This page aims to show an overview or Leveling Guide of how exactly Stat growth works in the game.

Steam user "300 Ping Potato!" has helped make a lot of the numerical data available, with the help of others who helped doublecheck his data points.

Dragon's Dogma 2 Stat Growth Overview

Your character technically has base Stats that are independent of Vocation. However, having a Vocation automatically grants you temporary Stat Adjustments that fit that Vocation. These changes will persist until you change Vocations and, naturally, the spread of stat changes is different per Vocation. This mechanic should already alter your Stats from the start of the game as you pick a Vocation during Character Creation.

stat levels1 character information dragons dogma 2 wiki guide

From there, your Stats will change permanently whenever you level up. There are base stat changes that occur per level. However, these changes per level are modified depending again on which Vocation you are running while the level-up happens. Multipliers are different per Vocation and tend to fit what that Vocation wants to do in battle. Therefore, if you want to be efficient to the tee and optimize your character's Stats, you'll have to switch Vocations before each level up depending on each Stat you want to maximize. This isn't really recommended, as there is a cap value for each Stat. Technically, each Vocation will be able to reach the maximum Stat levels, but some will just reach the cap of some Stats faster depending on which Stats that Vocation has higher multipliers for.

What are the Base Stats in Dragon's Dogma 2

The base stats for each character before any Stat Adjustments brought about by Vocations are as follows:

Starting Base Stats in Dragon's Dogma 2

As mentioned previously, your character will have specific base Stats at level 1. However, these will automatically be changed depending on which Vocation you choose at the start of the game. The Stats below show the Stats you start with for each starting Vocation, as well as the base stats for comparison. They are already modified with the Stat Adjustments further down below.

Stat Adjustments in Dragon's Dogma 2

As mentioned, every time you change Vocations, you'll get a temporary change in your Stats. These Stat adjustments will still fit what that specific Vocation is trying to do, but they will change again should you choose to switch to yet another Vocation.

Base Stat Growth per Level in Dragon's Dogma 2

As aforementioned, your Stats will grow every time you level up. You'll be able to see the numerical values of these stat additions pop up whenever you or your Main Pawn levels up. The actual amount is dependent on a modifier that is applied to a fixed amount that is added to each Stat. There are no negative modifiers, so Stats can only stay the same at worst.

stat levels2 character information dragons dogma 2 wiki guide

Stats will have ceilings, which means that when you reach these limits, they won't go up anymore. These are usually denoted by a golden font when you view your Stats or when the Stat Growth notification pops up on a level-up. The system is designed such that you'll be able to reach these maximum values for a certain Stat regardless of which Vocation you choose to stick to. It'll just be a lot slower for some than most.

NOTES: Stats start to grow a lot slower even at just the base increases per level without the Vocation modifiers. Knockdown Res doesn't grow at all, and Weight will stop growing after level 40. Knockdown Power will also stop growing after level 81. Past level 200, every Stat aside from Health will grow by 1 point with each level (before Vocation modifiers).

Vocation Stat Multipliers in Dragon's Dogma 2

NOTE: Knockdown Power and Weight just have a (x1) multiplier whenever you level up for all the Vocations. The Warfarer seems to just get the base stat increases with no multipliers.

Does anyone know what happens after lvl 200? The website says you only gain HP at that point. I haven't done the math's but if I exclusively play warrior he might not have hit the Magick/magick Def cap by lvl 200. Does the warrior still get Magick stats past lvl 200 or is he screwed and can never go to Hogwarts?

Scratch that, it's actually only ~5%.

Tested it again with a new save file and neglected my pawn for a whole playthrough for accurate data. Pawn and Arisen are both thieves, pawn got enhanced vocation at level 1, Arisen did not.

Here are their level 40 stats:
        Arisen:
        1252 HP
        1144 Stam
        216 Str
        179 Def
        142 Mag
        165 Mag Def

        Pawn:
        1294 Hp
        1162 Stam
        224 Str
        187 Def
        150 Mag
        172 Mag Def

It's not a simple 5% to everything. Some stats got slighty more and others slightly less.

Enhanced vocations seem to gain 20% increased stats multyplicatively with vocation stat bonus.

I tested this with a Fighter pawn with enhanced vocation from level 16-70.
