Warrior is an Advanced Vocation in Dragon's Dogma 2. The Warrior is a frontline vocation, dealing heavy burst melee damage with their two-handed weapons. Vocations are the many character classes the player can choose from. The Vocation you choose for the Arisen or your Pawns dictates what Weapons and Skills they are able to use, as well as how their stats increase per level up. Some Vocations are only able to be used by the Arisen.
The Warrior boasts a robust physique specializing in direct combat, with the strength to endure enemy counterattacks. Warriors are masters of two-handed weapons such as the greatsword and the hammer. The strike that is unleashed after charging power and identifying an opening, is among the most powerful attacks of all vocations.

Warrior Combat Guide Dragon's Dogma 2
Warriors are at their best when fighting at the vanguard, cutting down foes with a single swing of their greatsword and charging through them enemy ranks without heeding their blows. Their attacks cleave a wide and devastating arc, but their movements are slow, and, stout as they are, they cannot withstand an onslaught indefinitely without aid. Hold down the basic attack button before unleashing an attack to charge up your strength, changing the attack to a charged slash and dealing greater damage. A warrior need not fear the enemy's blows while charging up their strength, as they have increased resistances and are less likely to flinch for the duration.
Press the class action button to use Barge. What it lacks in power it makes up for in swiftness, and it can also be used as a follow-up attack after a strike with the greatsword. A warrior should barge their enemies without fear, as they have increased resistances and are less likely to flinch for the duration, giving them ample opportunity to counter. When you land an attack using the heavy attack button, it will change to a powerful successive strike if: 1) the target is downed or knocked off balance, or 2) the target is not expecting the attack. Powerful successive strikes should be carefully aimed, as they leave you vulnerable.
Warriors are a moderately difficult class that can fill a front-line tanking role. With great timing, strategy, and position, warriors can easily counterattack or charge up their attacks to deliver a powerful blow, dealing great damage to large opponents and clearing out smaller enemies. On top of their great damaging abilities, their strength can easily stagger or knock down enemies, giving your team free rein to charge in and attack. Key to using warrior effectively is frequent use of Barge. While warrior attacks are slow, barge can be used quickly and is capable of staggering enemies. When used just before an enemy attack hits you, it can also negate some damage and reduce the knockdown of the attack. Barge can be used as an opening to a combo to stagger an opponent before beginning to charge up a longer attack. It can also be used after an attack has landed to further stagger or possibly knock down the enemy, who may still be reeling from your attack.
Warriors can learn the core skill Chain of Blows, which allows them to wield regular attacks much more quickly and with greater power if the next attack is launched when their weapon reaches the end of its arc. Breakneck Strike is another core skill which adds greater damage to an attack if it is unleashed at the moment the attack is fully charged (your sword will briefly flash at this time). With proper timing, warriors have a very rhythmic attack pattern, making them more effective than with just button-mashing.
Another important tool for damage mitigation is Tidal Fury, which can be used to parry an enemy attack, thereby negating damage and automatically launching a follow-up attack. Alternatively, you may practice using the core skill Repulse, which can be used with other warrior skills to parry enemy attacks. To pull off the parry, you might release a charged attack just before the enemy attack hits you.
Also of note is the utility skill Ladder Launch, which may boost allies into the air to aid in climbing large foes or reaching inaccessible areas during exploration. The skill Revivify can be used to negate the effects of the caught fire, frostbite, sleep, silence, and unconscious debilitations. Additionally, when playing as a tank, a warrior can use Bellow to generate threat and draw the attention of enemies.

DD2 Warrior Stat Growth
Stats in Dragon's Dogma 2 grow in two ways - temporary Stat Adjustments from choosing and adopting a Vocation, and increases that happen per level, modified by Vocation Stat Multipliers. Stat Adjustments happen instantly whenever you change into a Vocation. This means that when you choose your Basic Vocation during Character Creation, you'll likely already have these Stat Adjustments already applied to your Stats. Vocation Stat Multipliers are relevant whenever your character levels up.
Warrior Stat Adjustments in Dragon's Dogma 2
As aforementioned, Stat Adjustments will immediately and automatically apply whenever you switch Vocations. These temporary Stat changes will reflect the Vocation's play style and will benefit the Stats that are advantageous for it. In contrast, some Stats may reduced to balance out the Vocation's stats. When you switch to a different Vocation, these adjustments will be taken away, and then the Stat Adjustments for the newer Vocation will be conferred accordingly. Switching to the Warrior Vocation will confer the following Stat Adjustments:
- Health: +350
- Stamina: +0
- Strength: +60
- Defense: +20
- Magick: -40
- Magick Defense: -40
- Knockdown Power: +20
- Knockdown Res: +300
- Weight: +10
Warrior Stat Multipliers in Dragon's Dogma 2
Whenever a character levels up, they are granted base Stat increases which are determined per level. These base Stat increases are then modified by Vocation Stat Multipliers which can be different per Stat and are different per Vocation. Like Stat Adjustments, these multipliers will reflect the Vocation's playstyles and lean towards the Stats that are advantageous to it. After the multiplier is applied to the base stat increase for each Stat, they are then rounded down before being permanently granted to your character. The Warrior has the following Stat Multipliers:
Knockdown Power, Knockdown Res, and Weight do not have multipliers. Knockdown Res doesn't grow at all, and Weight will stop growing after level 40. Knockdown Power will also stop growing after level 81. Past level 200, every Stat aside from Health will grow by 1 point with each level (before Vocation modifiers).

DD2 Warrior Other Notes & Tips
- Additional Notes & Tips for the Warrior go here.
- Versatile: This is one of the easiest trophies to obtain, and you won't miss it. Just chance your Vocation for another one. It doesn't matter if you stick with it. In certain Inns or Guild Halls, head to the clerk and interact to select the option to change your Vocation. It costs you 100 Discipline Points.
- The Specialist: You have to reach Rank 9 in any Vocation. Players will level up their Vocation as they kill enemies. As you play through the game, you will eventually reach rank 9 with, at least, one of the Vocations.

Dragons flight has 100 slash and 0 strike
Cyclopean Thunder has 0 slash and 100 strike

you can infinitely use windstorm slash if you time the rhythm right. If you manage to wind it up early it can deal a lot more damage compared to the execute move you do with heavy attack.
- Anonymous
I was having so much fun exploding things from afar as a sorcerer, then I realized that the rhythmic timing required of this class made it a much more challenging and rewarding time
- Anonymous
i had a genuine moment of eureka with this class, when i was fighting and the playstyle suddenly clicked for me. i love this class
- Anonymous
ravaging lunge = train time. so fun to use to zip around. easily one of my fav must have skills

Knoll breaker is pretty broken at least early game. Quick charge rate, staggers big monsters in one hit, knocks them down in 1-3 sometimes even without increased knockdown.
- Anonymous
This vocation feels a lot better in DD2. The skills are awesome (the skyward one is basically a shoryuken with a greatsword) and you can now parry attacks by unleashing your move. If you don't have time to charge your attack before the monster hits you, you have a counter move. Probably one of the more gratifying vocations.

Ah, so this Vocation is no longer a boring 3 skill jump attack spam job. Looks promising.
