Defense is a Stat in Dragon's Dogma 2. Defense is the stat that determines the character's resistance to physical damage before health is impacted. High defense gives high damage mitigation, which will protect the character before hit points start to be reduced. Stats determine the strengths and weaknesses of your character, and are increased by leveling up or by equipping certain pieces of equipment, such as Armor or Weapons. It is advised to focus on what your character's Vocation excels at as well as what suits your play style best, to reap the biggest rewards of Stats.
Defense Information in Dragon's Dogma 2
- Defense is a stat that determines how much damage your character takes from enemy attacks. A higher defense stat reduces the amount of damage you receive, making you more resilient in combat. Increasing your Defense through Armor, Augments, or by other means can help you survive longer in battles against tough foes
- Defense does not apply to Magick attacks. For that type of Defense, please check Magick Defense
How to increase Defense in Dragon's Dogma 2?
- Players can increase Defense by leveling up.
- By consuming a Stoutness Extract, players will increase Defense temporarily
- Equipping any type of Body Armor and Leg Armor will increase Defense. Even though most of Head Armor increase Armor, not all of them do, certain pieces such as Monocles, Kerchiefs, or masks, may not provide an increase to the Defense stat.
