Debilitations in Dragon's Dogma 2 are negative status conditions which can afflict both characters and monsters, their effects range from inflicting damage at steady intervals to making the target vulnerable to a specific type of attack. They are not exclusive to the Arisen and their pawns, but can be inflicted upon their Enemies, by attacks, Skills, Items, and the environment granting a fierce edge in battle if applied wisely. Several Armor pieces have the ability to grant a character resistance to certain Debilitations, making it harder for the Debilitation to be inflicted on them.  Consult each entry below for more information about its effects.

Dragon's Dogma 2 Elemental Weakness and Resistance

Making use of Skills and Equipment that enable you to inflict elemental damage can grant you a significant advantage over your foes. For instance, combining attacks that inflict debilitation with attacks that deal elemental damage will allow you to plague your enemies with some truly devastating Debilitations.

really makes me sad that they removed so much compared to the first game. Only archer can apply tarred which is quite strong.
Blight is limited to 1 weapon "Spite" as far as I know and the arrows are 2k gold per shot or farm asp and venim harpys to craft.
And is also underwhelming compared to the hassle.
Sleep is limited to magic archer.
Torched and frostbite are more common.
wish there were more weapons, items and skills around debilitations. :(
