Crafting or the Combine Items feature in Dragon's Dogma 2 (DD2) is a process that mixes certain materials together in order to form a new product. For this game, new products are mainly Consumables, with only a few exceptions. Weapons and Armor are not craftable in Dragon's Dogma 2. Players can craft materials from either their inventory, which includes the materials that all their Pawns might have at any given moment, or materials that they've put in their Storage, which can only be done through an inn or while viewing said Storage. Crafting Items feature some of the best curatives in the game, as well as some indispensable items.

Dragon's Dogma 2 Crafting Guide
What is Crafting in Dragon's Dogma 2
Crafting in Dragon's Dogma 2 actually means to Combine two items together to form an altogether new item. The resulting products are incredibly helpful boons for the player, with the list consisting of strong Curatives, able to restore both Health and Stamina, as well as cure most Debilitations.
Being able to Combine items gives players an incentive to manage their inventory and storage well throughout all stages of the game. Some early-game materials are even used to combine some of the most potent Consumables in the game, so players have to be aware and be careful of what they discard and sell.
How to Craft in Dragon's Dogma 2
While in the Crafting or Combining Items menu, players will be able to see two modes for crafting - Experiment and Use Recipe. Experiment, as the term suggests, is where players can just choose any two materials and see what can come out of it. If they've used the materials before, they'll be able to see the finished product on the bottom right corner of the screen.
In the Use Recipe tab. players can pick a product that they've crafted before and then from there choose which materials they want to consume in order to craft it. Players can use only two materials whenever they craft, and they will be consumed from their possession when they are used for crafting.
Where to Craft in Dragon's Dogma 2
Crafting or Combining Items in Dragon's Dogma 2 can be done anytime through the main menu. Materials used for these are any and all usable materials in the party's inventory, which encompasses all the materials that your Pawns have in their possession as well.
However, players can also craft using the materials that they've stored in their Storage Boxes by choosing the Combine option when managing their storage, either while directly organizing their Storage Box, or through the Organize Storage menu at the inn. It's important to note that Pawns with the Logistician specialization may use up materials in the party's inventory on their own so make sure to be aware and organize accordingly.
What is the Logistician Specialization in Dragon's Dogma 2
Specializations are traits that Pawns have which are aimed at giving them more of a differentiating identity. These allow Pawns to individually and automatically do things like look for treasure, or have knowledge of certain quests, languages, or other things about the world of the game which will assist you in your travels and exploration.
One such Specialization is called the Logistician Specialization. A Pawn that has this Specialization will sometimes Craft or Combine items as they see fit, using materials that the whole party possesses. As it happens without your say-so, they can end up using materials you may want to combine yourself, or even potentially give you a hard time look for items that you need to submit for a quest. Therefore, it's imperative that you are at least aware of your Pawns that have this Specialization, or, if you're planning to do any heavy Crafting sessions anytime soon, get rid of them temporarily.
