Celestial Paean is a Weapon Skill in Dragon's Dogma 2 (DD2). Celestial Paean is a skill summoning a wave of holy light to hasten allies' recovery and speed. Celestial Paean is a skill used by the Mage and is also available to Pawns with the corresponding Vocation. New skills can be bought using Discipline Points.
Celestial Paean can also be cast through the use of the combined grimoire On the Transference of Souls. The grimoire can be made by combining book 1 and book 2 of On the Transference of Souls if they are acquired through the resolution of the Short-Sighted Ambition quest in Battahl.

DD2 Celestial Paean Guide, Notes & Tips
- This is a weapon skill. Weapon skills are vocation-dependent — though some vocations share the same weapons, they might not have access to the same weapon skills. Executed by pressing the corresponding weapon skill button.
- Skills in Dragon's Dogma 2 are various passive and active abilities that the player can assign to the Arisen and their Pawns for use during combat. Some Skills are only usable depending on the Vocation of the character, while other Skills are dependent on the Weapon the character is using.
- Some Skills are shared between Vocations — when you buy a Skill shared by 2 or move Vocations, it can be accessed by any Vocation that can use it and doesn't have to be purchased again when swapping Vocations.
- Combining Transference of Souls Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 yields Transference of Souls, enabling the casting of Celestial Paean.

No amount of attempts to circumvent the exhaustion will succeed. It would appear the Stamina crash is in no way tied to the "weapon skill cost" so Warfarer's Zeal Augment won't touch it (just the initial cast which of course is inconsequential), the value it reduces Stamina to seems something like -125% so +Max Stamina doesn't cut it. Outside burn phases I just can't see much meta optimization of this skill, being that it just simply does not last long enough to justify the length it takes the Mage out of commission, nevermind the fact that they will insist upon casting the skill for all encounters, so for short engagements the Mage benefits little. Would be a killer if multiplayer were a thing.
If you didnt get tome Try this as this worked for me Max affinity with Eini (Grandmother) then max affinity with Eino (Grandfather) once he give you Aphonite's Tome go back to Eini she should give you Celestial Paean. There is a campfire nearby and i used (One gift per day) Wyrmslife Crystal to speed up maxing affinity.

If you give the apothecary the forgery ‘Transit of Souls Vol 2’ his attempt fails and you can buy volume 1 from him. You can combine both volumes and it will create a grimoire that allows you to use this spell.

Doesn't last long enough, plus completely drains the stamina bar & flattens out the caster after it
It was great when being casted by my pawn when I was a thief, climbing on monsters...
But it's nowhere good enough for most uses, Palladium is far more useful.
Anyone know a way to get this if you can't complete Spellbound because you already gave all 5 tomes to Myrddin?

What is the duration on this? I put it on my mage pawn, but it seems to only last a couple of seconds. Not enough time to actually make use of it.
If you can't find the grandfather to raise his affinity too, check the morgue in Vernworth. He somehow died early in my game & I was unable to get Celestial Paean from the grandmother until after I revived him & received his tome first.
