Weapons in Dragon's Dogma 2 are Equipment that serves as the Arisen's main means of damage against Enemies and Bosses. Weapons can be obtained in various ways, including as enemy drops, in chests around the world, as a reward for finishing a quest, from merchants, and even through crafting. In Dragon's Dogma, the Weapon a character could wield was dependent on their Vocation. The Weapon a character wielded also determined what Skills were available to them. This page will be updated with all the Weapons available once the game has been officially released.

What are the Weapons in Dragon's Dogma 2
Dragon's Dogma 2 features 12 Weapon Types. These weapon categories are bundled for use by specific Vocations and are tied to specific Weapon Skills that the vocation can use. Players can swap weapons easily from their inventory, but will need to visit an Inn to change vocations to use other equipment that they are not proficient with. Two vocations have multiple weapons. The Fighter class uses swords, maces and shields. The Warrior class uses Greatswords and Hammers. Every other class has only one weapon proficiency.
These Weapons determine how characters can deal physical damage to Enemies, and each will have their own Weapon Stats that players can survey to make their choice as far as which to wield for their characters.

This is such a disappointment, best thing about the first game was, the actual progression with weapons because, there were so many. Lazy AF reused assets from first game and we even get less classes technically, 3 missing classes and 1 class split into 2

What bothers me is that half of the weapon designs are from DD 1. I know its common to do but its like half of the gear is dd1 fashion.

Only? For an open world game, this amount of weapons is ridiculous.

Why didn’t they just port the old weapons over to this game, give them the same stats and let people roleplay how they want?
