Weapons in Dragon's Dogma 2 are Equipment that serve as the Arisen's main means of damage against Enemies and Bosses. Weapons can be obtained in various ways, including as enemy drops, in chests around the world, as a reward for finishing a quest, from merchants, through crafting etc. In Dragon's Dogma, the Weapon a character could wield was dependent on their Vocation. The Weapon a character wielded also determined what Skills were available to them. This page will be updated with all the Weapons available once the game has been officially released.

What are the Weapons in Dragon's Dogma 2

In the previous game, there was a large variety of different Weapon types, each only able to be wielded by specific Vocations. Some Weapons seem to be making a return, based on the currently available gameplay clips, and the confirmed Vocations so far that players can switch to. These Weapons include Bows for the Archer, Swords and Shields for the Fighter, Staves for the Mage, Daggers for the Thief, Magick Bows for the Magick Archer, and the all-new Duospear for the new Mystic Spearhand.

Other Weapons can also be spotted from the trailer such as the returning Longsword and possibly the Archistaff, and a new Weapon that looks like a Censer wielded by a character in the trailer along with magickal abilities. These Weapons determine how characters can deal physical damage to Enemies, and each will have their own Weapon Stats that players can survey to make their choice as far as which to wield for their characters.

Weapon Stats in Dragon's Dogma 2

In the previous game, each Weapon had a set of Stats that would help players choose which to wield for their characters. These Weapon Stats determined the Weapon's capabilities in terms of the damage they can inflict, along with what type of damage they can inflict, and even any debilities they can help afflict onto Enemies. The previous game had the following Weapon Stats:

  • Strength
  • Magick
  • Slash Strength
  • Bludgeoning Strength
  • Stagger Power
  • Knockdown Power
  • Elemental
  • Debilitation Strength
  • Weight

It is yet unclear if this sequel game will have similar Weapon Stats. This page will be updated as more information is released.
