Dragon's Dogma 2 A Place to Call Home Quest Walkthrough
Speak to Mildred
To activate this quest, players must approach Mildred who can be found standing in front of the main entrance of The Stardrop Inn in Vernworth. She'll mention her home and ask you to meet her there where you're asked to watch over her home. To mark the location of Mildre's home, make sure to set the quest as priority in the quests menu.
An Offer to Purchase Mildred's Dwelling
When you arrive, Mildred will be waiting and she'll be glad to see you. She will then leave and your quest will be updated to temporarily occupy her house for a week. Head inside Mildred's home and you can find some things you can use such as the chest to manage your items and the bed to sleep on. To easily complete this quest, interact with the bed to rest and choose "Rest till Morning" 8 times to fulfill the whole week. You'll progress the quest once you see the next objective that says "Mildred's week of wandering is up."
Go out of the house and you'll find Mildred has returned from her trip. A dialogue cutscene will shortly follow and she'll tell you how much she enjoyed her journey, she goes on to share her plan that she would love to relocate and offers to sell her lodge to you for 20000 G, which will help cover her relocating expenses. You have the option to decline and raise the funds at first, but during our playthrough and for this walkthrough, we had enough funds and opted to pay her. One of the benefits of having your own home is that you won't need to pay to rest at the inn if you are in Vernworth and you can also make use of the chest to manage your items, buying Mildred's home also unlocks the achievement "A House? In This Economy?"—this formally completes the quest.

Does sleeping in this house prior to buying it saves the game as an inn save?
After I accepted the quest from Mildred, got a package on the door from Ulrika saying something like "I was a fool for expecting to find you here. Anyways, hope this find you in good health."
Gave me a ferrystone. Wonder if there could have been another outcome
