Dragon's Dogma 2 Home Is Where the Hearth Is Quest Walkthrough
Speak with Lennart
After completing An Unsettling Encounter, Brant will prompt you to visit Melve. You will find guards are stationed and have taken over the village here. Bribe the guard so you can be let inside the town, and the quest Home Is Where the Hearth Is will automatically start. Once inside, look for Lennart who will be waiting for you inside Ulrika's House. Lennart will ask you to procure four swords that they plan on using so that he and other villages can escape town.
There are two ways for you to obtain these swords: You can either purchase them before heading to Melve, or find the ones that had been confiscated by the royal troops. The town's weapons are being kept inside the building west of the town's gate. NOTE: If you completed Brothers Brave and Timid, Ian will offer to distract the guards, as a means of his gratitude for helping his brother. After obtaining the swords, return again to Lennart inside Ulrika's House.
Outcome 1: Repel the soldiers in Melve
Once you make it to Ulrika's House and leave the area, the soldiers will spot you and trigger a fight. For this instance, your pawns can't help you but the townspeople will be there to back you up. The fight wouldn't last long and the soldiers will stop attacking after a minute, or so. After this, the people of Melve will now travel to Harve Village, where Ulrika is currently the chief. Spend a few days in a different area or do quests, then travel to Harve Village to speak with Ulrika.
After speaking with Ulrika, she tells you that she prefers to speak at nighttime. If you happen to arrive in town early, just make use of the inn or doze off on the bench to pass the time. You will find her at the docks, and then after talking to Ulrika, the quest Home Is Where the Hearth Is will be marked as completed.
Outcome 2: Villagers of Melve fight for their freedom
The Walkthrough for this outcome is a work in progress. If the details are available, please feel free to add them here.

Home Is Where the Hearth Is Quest Rewards in Dragon's Dogma 2
This Quest has multiple Outcomes. The villagers of Melve fought for their own freedom:
Abandoning one's home is never an easy choice, but there are worse fates. If to remain is to be subject to indignities, then surely it is better to strike out in search of fairer treatment? So resolved the people of Melve, who, having armed themselves against the soldiers occupying their village, now prepare to make their bid for freedom.

Followed nerd that yelled at waifu and watched bandits kill him outside Melve. Haven’t got to this part yet, but it’ll be weird if the narcs still show since their pedo looking mate never made it back.

I accidentally backstabbed a citizen and the quest seems to have glitched. Nobody in town will talk to me and combat music is playing.

IF your quest wont progress past the wait a fe days and speak to ulrika on the docks oart, see if you have trouble on the cape completed, if not and THAT wont trigger go to vernworth morgue and see if zoran is dead, if he is revive him and return to harve, cutscene should trigger and if you already cleared the cave out before doing this it might bug out and play all the cutscenes as if you just did the quest but out of order and both endings, it should still complete and ulrika should move to the docks thus letting you complete home is where the hearth is.

You don't have to bribe the guards, you can hop over the wall on the far right(give the guards a wide berth)

You can hop over the wall on the right side without guards caring

This does NOT require Unsettling encounter to be completed. It seems that just prompts Brant to point you towards this quest chain but is not a requirement.
If she doesn't move to the docks, and you have completed every other quest, you can just pick her up and place her on the spot. Works perfectly lmao
