The Disa's Plot quest can be unlocked if you choose "Accept" to the dialogue line "Tell me of the queen regent." when speaking to Brant at The Stardrop Inn of Vernworth during the quest "Seat of the Sovran".

Disa's Plot Quest Description

Disa's Plot - Quest Start Description

Queen Regent Disa would pursue her ambitions at any cost— even at the expense of the kingdom. If you are to put an end to her schemes, you must uncover the evidence to prove them.

Disa's Plot Quest Complete - You brought the evidence of Disa's misdeeds before the good captain.

The evidence you uncovered in the queen regent's rooms reveals her correspondence with someone by the name of Phaesus in the neighboring country of Battahl. You also learned that Disa's own son, Regentkin Sven, harbors suspicions of her misdeeds.

Disa's Plot Quest Objectives

  • Report back to Captain Brant.

To recap, this quest is unlocked by choosing "Accept" to the dialogue option "Tell me of the queen regent." when speaking to Brant at the Stardrop Inn during the quest, Seat of the Sovran. This quest requires the player to head to the rear gate of the castle between the hours of midnight and dawn. When you arrive, one of Brant's guards will identify you and ask that you follow. Keep close to the NPC until you reach The Guardhouse. [See Dragon's Dogma 2 Map]

Before you start to snoop around for evidence, keep in mind that you are within a restricted area, so try not to get caught or the guards will be forced to attack and capture you. Inside The Guardhouse, there is a chest containing x1 Marcher's Helm, x1 Marcher's Armor, and x1 Marcher's Cuisses. You'll also find a few items in this room.

NOTEBEFORE HEADING INSIDE THE CASTLE, UNEQUIP YOUR CURRENT ARMOR AND WEAR THE MARCHER'S SET THAT YOU JUST GOT FROM THE CHEST IN THE GUARDHOUSE. WEARING THIS WHILE YOU'RE WITHIN CASTLE GROUNDS (ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT) DISGUISES YOURSELF, ALLOWING YOUR CHARACTER TO WALK AROUND FREELY.

Go inside the next room then make a left to find x1 Lantern Oil on a dressing table. Go back to where you came in and you'll see a set of stairs in front of the doorway. Near the stairs, you'll find another dressing table that has a small tapestry pinned to the wall. On the dressing table, you can find a note "Writings of a Soldier on Duty".

Now your destination is the Vernworth Castle Offices which is on the second floor of the castle. Go to the main hall but proceed carefully as guards are roaming the main hall. You can find the spiral stairs by going to the main hall, go right, and then straight. There's a doorway to the right where you'll find the spiral stairs. Again, be careful not to get caught as another guard is roaming the stairs. On the second floor, turn left and you'll see a room to the left, this is the Vernworth Castle - Guest Chambers. Go inside this room to find a chest containing  x1 Courtly Tunic and x1 Courtly Breeches.

Go back and continue down the hallway and you'll find the next room, also on the left, which is the Vernworth Castle Offices. Go inside and check the desk at the end of the room to find a "Torn Letter", pick it up and a dialogue cutscene will trigger showing Sven who catches you in the room. In this scene, you'll find out that he is the son of Disa and is happy to know that what you are plotting contributes to revealing his mother's wrongful schemes. After speaking to Sven, make your escape by climbing out of the window of the office. Carefully slide down the roof and jump back down to the entrance of The Guardhouse.

Report Back to Brant

    • I've done Sven's quest where he gives you items at the fountain, but for some reason he never showed up when I picked up the torn note for this quest. Does anyone know if that will be a problem for this or any other quest progression?
