The larger, red-eyed brutish variant of a standard ogre, can occasionally be caught unaware while napping.

Where to Find Grim Ogres in Battahl
- From Checkpoint Rest Town, head south on the main road, past the Enoa'Battahl Forest. One can be found on the road leading towards the Trickster Maister in the Reverent Shrine, which is the second left turn you'll find after crossing the river past the forest. [Dragon's Dogma 2 Map]
- From Checkpoint Rest Town, head south on the main road until you reach Enoa'Battahl Forest. Head to the southwest edge of the forest, before the river, past the Rocky Lair, to possibly encounter a Grim Ogre. [Dragon's Dogma 2 Map]
- Another can be found in the Wyrmsblood Forest. Just follow the main path.
- A Grim Ogre will spawn within Coral Snake's Hideout if you visit after completing Mercy Among Thieves. It has a guaranteed drop: Ogresbane. [Dragon's Dogma 2 Map]

I need one more ogre talon and I can't get any of these grim ogres to spawn. Been trying for hours now. Rested weeks of in game time. wtf.
