Golem Enemy Combat Guide for DD2

The strong physical strikes that these gigantic clay statues are capable of are matched only by their incredible resistance to damage that is inflicted to them. Aiming at the glowing charms that are floating about them and providing them with life is the most effective approach to deal damage to them. Utilizing ranged attacks such as bows and spells with physical damage would be the most effective way to combat this enemy. After a few heavy blows on the glowing charms on its body, it will be stunned for a while, giving you time to make a combo of attacks. Normal pure magical attacks deal little to no damage, it is recommended to use spells like Frigor or scism to combat them due to their physical damage.

To defeat the Golem in the shortest amount of time, you need to aim or slash at its weak points that are located around its body. Around its body, it emits a blue glow that indicates its weak places. You will need to aim for the glowing disc that is located on the right shoulder of the Golem or the glowing disc that is located under its feet. To increase the rate at which the Golem deals damage, one of the most successful strategies is to make use of weapons that deliver Blunt damage, such as maces. On the other hand, if you are armed with a blunt melee weapon, you should climb up its arm and get to its back to deliver damage.

What I DESPISE about the golems this time around is the medals like to just turn...untargetable? I'm not sure what it's linked to, but they regularly just become completely undamageable for some time, eventually being exposed again. Makes fighting them a complete chore as much of the fight is waiting.

To consistently remove the head. Attack the shiny glowing medals. This will stun it giving you time to grab and push its leg to topple. The most optimum time is when "vents" at which point its a cake walk

My pawns manage to chop down its head and something like a core rolled out, and I smash the core then the golem fell

If you Push/Pull on a leg for long enough some parts with medals will break off and it will lose it's head. It acts like a large boulder, you can roll it around and it still shoots lasers.
