DD2 Wolf Enemy Information

According to the DD1 Lore, Wolves are known to inhabit every corner of Gransys. They are carnivorous mammals from the Canis Genus and can grow up to 6 feet, from the tip of their noses to their tails. These creatures may not be magical beasts, but their ferocious and brutal nature is what makes them fearful.

Wolves are social creatures that prefer hunting in packs. They are led by a single alpha male and they all have their own territory to occupy where they hunt and live day-to-day. They are known to be quick and level-headed and are patient when it comes to their prey. They are also believed to have become more aggressive because of the recent increase of monsters in Gransys.

Wolf Enemy Combat Guide for DD2

Wolves in Dragon's Dogma 2 are large carnivorous mammals capable of disemboweling humans with their fangs and claws. A wolf is a social monster allowing them to form a pack of up to 12 members. These packs would often have an alpha or a leader that guides the other members and leads them to bountiful hunts.

To fight wolves in DD2, it is important to take them on one-by-one. Their size and speed, combined with their very powerful bite allows them to easily knock humanoid prey off-balance and prone with their lunges. Once prone on the ground, they like to drag their prey off away from the battlefield, where the other wolves will swiftly follow in order to engage in a feeding frenzy, tearing the helpless soul limb from limb if help fails to arrive.

A mature wolf is also considerably larger than a human so teaming up against these packs will help you to survive the fight. Make sure that you don't get surrounded by them, use high terrain to your advantage, and try to have your back against a Pawn while fighting wolves.

DD2 Wolf Notes and Tips

    • Dragon's Dogma Wolves are usually black in color.
    • Upon closer inspection, the Wolves of the Dragon's Dogma universe seem to differ from their real world counterparts in how their maws appear to be incredibly wide, with the hinge of their jaws recessed much further back than expected in real world wolves. This presumably would allow them to swallow smaller prey whole, and gives their mouths an almost reptilian, snake-like aspect.
