Perpetuation is an Augment in Dragon's Dogma 2 (DD2). Perpetuation increases the user's Enchantments and Invigorations durations, and can be purchased once the Mage reaches Rank 8. Augments are various passive abilities that the player can equip to the Arisen and their Pawns for use during their playthrough, and can be purchased for Discipline Points.

- Only the character that has the augment equipped will receive the 20% increase in duration of enchantments and invigorations.
- Perpetuation is an Augment Skill. Augments are a special kind of skill that can be shared between Vocations when unlocked.
- Skills in Dragon's Dogma 2 are various passive and active abilities that the player can assign to the Arisen and their Pawns for use during combat. Some Skills are only usable depending on the Vocation of the character, while other Skills are dependent on the Weapon the character is using.
- Some Skills are shared between Vocations — when you buy a Skill shared by 2 or move Vocations, it can be accessed by any Vocation that can use it and doesn't have to be purchased again when swapping Vocations.

20%? That’s pretty good all things considered. Compared to other augments, this is actually decent enough to make a noticeable change in combat. At least the Mage doesn’t have to constantly reapply Affinities and Celerity just to keep them active over the course of a long fight.

Does this affect the duration spells are active when cast by the augment holder? For examples of duration based spells: Anodyne, Hagol, Thundermine, Celstial Paean.

Does this work for the Illusiory wall with the Trickster? I would think not but haven't gotten far enough to test it.

Anyone know if this would extend the buff of fire (or ice/lightning) boon when used on an ally or does the ally need the augment.

For those wondering, I did a test of this with Palladium (Mage) and Mirour Shelde (Mystic Spearhand) to see if I could prolong shields and it sadly does not work with either :(
I'm 90% certain this doesn't work with magick archers protracting arrow.
