Taliesin Dragon's Dogma 2 Notes & Tips
- After completing A Trial of Archery, you may encounter Taliesin in his home and receive a request to escort him to the Mountain Ruins just outside of Sacred Arbor. He delivers this letter upon making the request: "I am unused to writing in your tongue, yet I shall try to convey what I intend. I have heard that you are a ruler in the making. As a leader myself, I have an obligation to learn more about you, and I cannot deny that I am personally curious as well. Let us embark on a journey together and foster our acquaintance. - Taliesin"
- Upon completing his escort quest, he delivers this letter: "I am pleased that you agreed to join me. It was a fruitful journey, and I can now say unreservedly that you have my support on the path you walk as the Arisen. As for me, I shall do my part by fulfilling my duty to my people, and safeguarding the future of the arbor. - Taliesin"
- Upon achieving sufficiently high affinity with Taliesin, he may leave a gift of a Miracle Roborant at your home in Vernworth along with this letter: "It is not the way of the Arborist to wander, nor to stray too far from the ancestral home of our people. Yet I must confess that I find myself intrigued by you, such that I am compelled to bear witness to your fate, wheresoever it may lead. - Taliesin"

According to the NPC logbook, Taliesin likes "Interesting items, Expensive items."
Get the translation by having your main pawn learn the Elvish language (woodland wordsmith). I gave flowers to the armor and weapons vendor a few times. Then she gave me the tome for the pawn specialization, and a 5% discount. For awhile. I didn't visit her often enough, and after awhile the discount vanished.
