- Complete The Sotted Sage and talk to him again to receive Grandmaster's Path, which unlocks Rearmament, the Warfarer's ultimate skill. This counts towards the Master of the Maisters grold trophy.
- After completing his quest, Lamond may show up at your home in Bakbattahl and request escort to the tavern in Verworth. He delivers this letter when requesting the escort: "I was in your boots once, so I reckon I know how you're feeling. This world is teetering on the edge, and it's only a matter of time afore it goes topsy-turvy. Well, there're a few things I'd like to do while I've still got the chance, and one of 'em is going on a jaunt with you, cos. Fancy doing a bit of sight-seeing with me? - Lamond.
- After completing his escort quest, he delivers this letter: "The world's a bit of a mess just now, eh? You've seen that for yourself, cos, in case you missed it afore. Reckon it's about time you asked yourself what you're going to do about it. - Lamond"

He won't give me the grandmaster scroll, he just repeats his line. Bad design Capcom. Really bad design.

unlocked warfarer, got asked for an escort quest by lamond, got halfway there and an ogre grabbed him and full sent it into the water killing the both of em and now im stuck with a failed quest and cant tell if lamond is dead or not
