Scalecinder is a Valuable type of Item in Dragon's Dogma 2 (DD2). Scalecinder is a special ash that forms in forges. Called by another name in the language of the elves, it can also be used to nourish the Arborheart.

How to get Scalecinder

You can loot up to 6 Scalecinder from Stragglers' Cave near Bakbattahl. You will need to first get the dwarf to leave by giving him some food from the Elves.

  • You will need to break barrels to get the hidden scalecinder. It looks like green mounts on the ground

      Tested, you can only give 1 to complete the quest, there are 6 in the cave, you can sell the rest or do whatsoever.

        5 is enough no need to get all 6. Finished the quest and could pick up the last one. No idea if its used anywhere else, but I'd guess not so best to sell it I suppose.

          Im supposed to talk to the blacksmith in bakbattahl and see if i can t collect some but im unable to bring of the dialogue. I think doing the quest for the regalli here might have bugged it but i cant be positive on that.
