Dragon's Dogma 2 Medusan Spellbow enhancements
- If you have the requisite Materials at hand, you can enhance your equipment at any shop equipped with a forge. Consider enhancing your equipment according to your level and fighting style.
- There are several styles of smithing used in enhancement, and each one produces a different result, such as moderate, all-around improvement, or a significant increase to Magick or might. Choose the style that is most compatible with your preferred equipment and approach to combat.
- Players can mix different types of enhancements. For example, players can have a Weapon or a piece of Armor with the first two enhancements of a style, and apply a different one for the third one. This adds further versatility and customization to Weapons and Armor.
- Wyrmfire smithing allows players to further improve their equipment past the third level, but does not work like the other four smithing schools. In this case, the benefits given does not add up in the same way, in this case it grants the weapon an x flat in certain stat. It also reduces by half the weight of the item.
- Instead of gold, Wyrmfire upgrades cost Wyrmslife Crystals.
- For example, Peltflayers level 3 Vermundian has 1.24 weight and 134 Strength. and Level 3 Elven has 1.24 kg Weight and 125 Strength. If players apply a wyrmfire upgrade to both of these weapons, the results will be different: Vermundian path Peltflayers final stats will be 189 Strength, while Elven and 180 Strength. So in the case of this weapon, the flat stat increased is +55 in Strength.

Shame is boost xp ONLY for those who performed killing blow with it

Killing a mob gave me 726 without It equipped, with It equipped I got 1926. I do have the slight xp boost ring on so that might be giving It a tad more or something but like, that's a 165% on Exp boost. Also the slight xp boost Is a 50% Increase so without that ring on It'll obv be lower but man oh man. No idea If It's more for weaker mobs and less for bigger mobs. Idk why It would be but maybe It Is?

One of the heaviest weapons in the entire game? I've just checked Great Hammers and none are as heavy as this. Been so heavy might explain the extra stamina drain.
It's worth noting that the xp bonus and the stamina drain are only effective if the bow is your active weapon. Which mainly means that as a warfarer, you can not just equip it as a secondary weapon to enjoy the xp buff while using your preferred weapon.

It should be noted that only the character wielding the bow actually gets the bonus XP. That means if your Arisen is the one using it, your main pawn doesn’t benefit from it whatsoever and vice versa.

Does using this bow cause you to get the full damage of Heavenly Shot with a much shorter charge time since I assume it eats your stamina faster? Or does it prevent you from getting full charge because it eats too much stamina? or does it do less damage because there's a stamina-consumed/damage ratio?

A truly awesome Warfarer weapon if you're playing melee and want a ranged option. Good stats, bonus XP, for zero drawback if you're just shooting regular arrows.

I killed her by turning her into stone with the shield, I didn't get the bow D:

does anyone know if the medusa bow drops only once or every kill?

>Medusan spellobow
>Not a single magical bow this time around
"Surely, this one will be a split strength and magick, maybe lighting infused or something"
>Nope full strength
Man, they learned nothing from Dark Arisen.

get this early just use the sorcerer augural flare cheese , go a bit further down to get the dwarven smithing unlocked on volcano island , then upgrade it ( medusa respawns every 15 days or so, so farm for upgrade bones from her ) use 2 rings of vehemence ( you can buy them in volcano hot springs shop ) , get warrior augment that increases your knockdown by 15% , enjoy keeping bosses on permanent knockdown and having a virtual railgun in your hand for the rest of the game, the knockdown on basic attacks insane on this thing, same as the post game hydra bow

different place of enchancement affects the str and weight it seems
- Anonymous
It multiplies the experience by 4 ON KILL. But not the class experience.
But the simple act of using a skill will drain 75% of your stamina even with stamina buffs.
The weight is a non-issue as a medium carry load stays manageable.
It can help powerlevel a bit as it is one of the most powerful bows in the game.
Just swap to this bow when bosses are on their death bed to get a huge xp gain. (Still need to land the killing blow tho)

PSA: Don't put this bow on your pawns unless you want them to be constantly out of stamina. This thing makes almost any archer ability consume about 80% of your stamina, torrent shot chews all 100% in seconds.
If you use warfarer and used ricochet arrow or whatever skill/spell with a delayed kill and switch to medusan spellbow, you still get the 4x xp bonus. Happy xp hunting in dungeons. Warfarer + Magick Archer + Archer.
