Dragon's Dogma 2 Dowsing Spikes enhancements
- If you have the requisite Materials at hand, you can enhance your equipment at any shop equipped with a forge. Consider enhancing your equipment according to your level and fighting style.
- There are several styles of smithing used in enhancement, and each one produces a different result, such as moderate, all-around improvement, or a significant increase to Magick or might. Choose the style that is most compatible with your preferred equipment and approach to combat.
- Players can mix different types of enhancements. For example, players can have a Weapon or a piece of Armor with the first two enhancements of a style, and apply a different one for the third one. This adds further versatility and customization to Weapons and Armor.
- Wyrmfire smithing allows players to further improve their equipment past the third level, but does not work like the other four smithing schools. In this case, the benefits given does not add up in the same way, in this case it grants the weapon an x flat in certain stat. It also reduces by half the weight of the item.
- Instead of gold, Wyrmfire upgrades cost Wyrmslife Crystals.
- For example, Peltflayers level 3 Vermundian has 1.24 weight and 134 Strength. and Level 3 Elven has 1.24 kg Weight and 125 Strength. If players apply a wyrmfire upgrade to both of these weapons, the results will be different: Vermundian path Peltflayers final stats will be 189 Strength, while Elven and 180 Strength. So in the case of this weapon, the flat stat increased is +55 in Strength.

If you can tolerate the chiming, these dang things have CRAZY high Knockdown for relatively early accessible daggers; if you intend to run an Implicate/Ensnare heavy Thief/Warfarer, these can carry you all the way into endgame with Dwarven Enhancements and x2 +Knockdown rings.
For reference, I was able to achieve one-shot Knockdown when Implicating a Griffon's head, no other damage applied. Level won't matter quite as much as Warfarer seems to cap out base KD at a +100 bonus from the looks of it.
Do these blink near treasure if your pawn has them equipped?

I had my daggers equip while in a Pawn Rift, and they begun to flash and ding as I got closer to one specific Pawn. and would go silent as I moved further away. does any one know if this is an indicator of a treasured Pawn? or perhaps is it alerting me to a pawn I should avoid due to a certain plague they might be afflicted with?

These things are so loud. Also I wish you could customize what they dowse, cause honestly I don't care about a chest that has three rotten apples in it.

Does it actually blink if you are near already opened chests...seems like it to me.
I was exploring the world and spotted a random pawn equipped with these daggers and they were blinking away, which led me to find a treasure chest. Pretty cool that the devs made that effect active globally and not just when the player has them equipped :)
