Dragon's Dogma 2 Dragon's Aegis enhancements
- If you have the requisite Materials at hand, you can enhance your equipment at any shop equipped with a forge. Consider enhancing your equipment according to your level and fighting style.
- There are several styles of smithing used in enhancement, and each one produces a different result, such as moderate, all-around improvement, or a significant increase to Magick or might. Choose the style that is most compatible with your preferred equipment and approach to combat.
- Players can mix different types of enhancements. For example, players can have a Weapon or a piece of Armor with the first two enhancements of a style, and apply a different one for the third one. This adds further versatility and customization to Weapons and Armor.
- Wyrmfire smithing allows players to further improve their equipment past the third level, but does not work like the other four smithing schools. In this case, the benefits given does not add up in the same way, in this case it grants the weapon an x flat in certain stat. It also reduces by half the weight of the item.
- Instead of gold, Wyrmfire upgrades cost Wyrmslife Crystals.
- For example, Peltflayers level 3 Vermundian has 1.24 weight and 113 Strength. and Level 3 Elven has 1.3 kg Weight and 110 Strength. If players apply a wyrmfire upgrade to both of these weapons, the results will be different: Vermundian path Peltflayers final stats will be .62 kg weight and 168 Strength, while Elven will end up 0.65 kg weight and 165 Strength. So in the case of this weapon, the flat stat increased is +55 in Strength.

“Dragon's Aegis is a hefty shield renowned for its exceptional physical defense, though it falls short in terms of specific resistances against slashing and striking attacks”
Why does it say this in the description for every shield? Are shields even supposed to have slash and strike resistance? They’re shields not armor pieces, they weren’t meant to give passive defense. Are they trying to say it’s less effective at blocking those types of damage? But that’s literally both types of melee damage, it would make even less sense if shields were better at blocking elemental damage rather than physical as this description would imply.
