Armor in Dragon's Dogma 2 is a type of Equipment that provides defensive properties and protects the Arisen and their Pawns from enemy attacks. Armor can be obtained in various ways, including as Enemy drops, in chests around the world, as a rewards for finishing a Quest, from merchant NPCs, etc. Most Armor pieces are locked to specific Vocations. There are a variety of different types of pieces of Armor that characters can wear, each specializing in a certain kind of protection for the character, or in certain Stats more than others. What are Armor Pieces in Dragon's Dogma 2
The game features a significant variety of Armor pieces for characters to wear. Each piece of Armor gives protection for a specific part of the character's body. Most Armor pieces can only be equipped by specific vocations. While you would have to check these restrictions individually for each armor set, there is a general rule of thumb you can follow:
- Heavy Armor made of metal have higher Defense than Magick Defense and are accessible mainly to 'red' vocations (Fighters, Warriors, Mystic Spearhand).
- Medium Armor made of leather have balanced Defense and Magick Defense stats and are accessible mainly to 'yellow' vocations (Archers, Thieves, Magick Archers).
- Light Armor made of cloth have higher Magick Defense than Defense and are mainly accessible to 'blue' vocations (Mages, Sorcerers, Magick Archers).

Armor Pieces have a set of Stats that determine their performance. These Armor Stats determine their physical and magickal defenses, whether they are slash or blunt, they stagger and knockdown power, and the elemental damage or debilitations they may inflict. The armor variety in this one is so disappointing, only a few choices per vocation and only one set or two actually appeal to me, don't know what they were thinking.

Since the game is easy I higly recommend using Warfarer despite its lower stats for fashionmaxxing

So it seems like only helmets are being found in the unmoored world? No chest pieces or anything. I had wanted to explore but the time limit they have really took the exploration fun in the unmoored world out of it for me

Way less customization than dd1. You could mix and match TONS of armor plates, belts, undershirts, gambason, elbow armor, gloves, boots, knightly mantles (cleric long skirt) not to mention all the other ones added by Dark Arisen.

Honestly disappointed by how few helmets there are. Many of them don't even look that good either, most are just hoods or jewelry.
I feel like there is much less long swords , hammers and rings im good with gear

i can't believe after two playthroughs i just now realized you don't have shirt and pants to equip under your armor like in DD1
